BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 Announced

RIM has been examination the latest version of the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Enterprise Server for a long meter now to iron out all the bugs, but BES 5.0 is now publicly available. The release also marks RIM merging EAL 4 Common Criteria, up from floor 2 shoemaker’s last year. Cool stuff boilersuit, and it sets the groundwork for handheld software system version 5.0. We’ll probably have to waiting until devices like the BlackBerry 8250 and 9630 before the new OS is available, however.
