Global Positioning System on Verizon’s Samsung Omnia is now free people as a bird!

Don’t you just hatred the carriers when they block a feature on your earphone? I do, and I personally disliked Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless for lockup Global Positioning System on the Samsung Omnia. After all, it’s a super capable device run Windows Mobile River, allowing users to install a number of applications.

Verizon has finally realized that it was a stupid move on their behalf and has made an update available that allows third-political party fix-based apps to run on Omnia. So once the gimmick is updated, you’ll be able to use Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps, TomTom, Garmin, and so on… Enough said – if you rich person the Samsung Omnia from Verizon, this is single step you should take!
