UK: Modu 2 coming in 2010?

We’ve written a lot on Modu before (here and here for exercise), but newsworthiness comes to us via GSM Arena that in fact the Modu 2 is due soon(-ish)… For those of you that father’t remember the steel proposition so well (ooh, that’s *so* marketing!), the Modu came as a central core of a French telephone, which could be heavily personalised with a number ‘jackets’ – I say jackets rather than covers, as they appeared at least to be more substantial than previous offerings from other vendors. However, the original Modu is said to rich person not been that well received, so the new one volition be backpacking more goodies along the lines of touchscreen and HSDPA to sweeten the trade a number. Quite how the jackets will work around the issuing of touchscreen versus 0-9 keys versus a QWERTY computer keyboard has yet to be seen – if that is, it’s even something they choose to address – I wonder with a touchscreen gimmick about how much personalisation of the case there is to do, since it’s merely a peignoir for a large control board and the gubbins hind end it. Time volition tell. [Via: GSM Arena]

However, the master Modu didn’t do major volumes apparently, so the new ace volition be packing more goodies along the lines of touchscreen and HSDPA to sweeten the trade a number. Quite how the jackets will employment around the issuing of touchscreen versus 0-9 keys versus a QWERTY keypad has yet to be seen – if that is, it’s even something they choose to savoir-faire – I curiosity with a touchscreen gimmick about how much personalisation of the cause there is to do, since it’s merely a wrapper for a large control board and the dohickey behind it. Time will tell.
