Just yesterday we reported on a rumor from the China Business News that mainland China’s stat-owned wireless carrier had purchased 5 one thousand thousand usance-made iPhones from Apple (NSDQ: AAPL). mainland China Unicom was said to have paid 10 billion kwai ($1.46 1000000000) for a shipment of 5 million wireless local area network-less iPhones. Today, the Chinese carrier has publicly denied any and all reports that have mainland China Unicom wrapping up an iPhone deal with Apple and buying up massive iPhone stocktaking.
“Talks between us and Apple wealthy person been going away on for some time, but no agreement has been reached yet,” said Unicom spokesman Yi Difei. “There are all kinds of possibilities. There is no particular timetable for the negotiation.” As for the reputation that mainland China Unicom purchased iPhones from Apple, Yi says “the reputation is not true.”
The mainland China Business News said cited a gross sales manager for China Unicom’s subsidiary in Guangdong. The hearsay had mainland China Unicom launching the iPhone in mainland China as soon as Sep. But, today’s rebutter seems to wealthy person stopped those rumors dead in their tracks.
