The Samsung Corby TXT (called the Samsung Genio TXT in the UK) is designed to be a simpleton but merriment messaging earphone.
It’s a classic BlackBerry-style handset with a small QWERTY keyboard underneath a non-touchscreen exhibit. On the backrest is a 2 megapixel photographic camera, and the Corby TXT supports microSD expandable store, comes with a multimedia role player, FM radio and it has a standard 3.5mm audio socket.
Unlike other "Corby" (or "Genio") handsets, the Corby TXT B3210 comes with a very staple blind. The conventional 2.2" 176 x 220 pel board won’t be as fun to use as other phones in the range, but it should just about be acceptable for texting, IM and electronic mail messages.
The user interface has been given a cartoon-style makeover to inject some merriment, and the box contains a knit black covering fire summation a brightly coloured single that can be put on instead.
It’s quite a lightweight gimmick at 94 grams, which is not badness for a gimmick with a QWERTY keyboard like this. The multimedia system player should be useful enough for entertainment purposes, and we rich person always found that even staple Samsung cameraphones green goods quite pleasing results when it comes to stills photos. This is a GSM-only phone – the Samsung Corby TXT doesn’t support 3G or WiFi connectivity.
There’s no word on pricing, but this volition probably be a very inexpensive gimmick when it hits the shops from Sep onwards.
