Acer’s first base Android handset, the A1 Liquid, which was announced back in Oct, will apparently be shipping this week. If you oasis’t had a chance to check it out, the A1 is packing a 3.5″ WVGA display, 1 Ghz central processing unit, A-Global Positioning System, 5 megapixel camera, and a 3.5mm headphone jackass. Acer remains tentative about its entrance into the crowded smartphone market, aiming at 8-10 handset releases per year, and promise to nab a 6 – 7% market share in the next 3-5 years, but Android should do a bettor job at spearheading genus Acer’s entry than Windows Mobile. Leaked projections for the A1 ar estimating 1.5 – 2 1000000 sales in 2010, and five hundred,000 before the end of the class, though it’s a little late launch to reasonably expect in-memory vacation stock to be stalls. genus Acer Mobile’s homepage distillery isn’t display anything more than a teaser for the Liquid, but we’ll be keeping an ear out for something functionary in the next workweek.
