In addition to its Windows Mobile 7 plans, LG also wants a piece of the development samsung_to_launching_omnia_hd_with_android_.html’ title=’Samsung to launching Omnia HD with Android?’>Android pie. So far, they’ve released a single device, GW620 (aka InTouch Max in UK or LinkMe in Italy), which failed to impressment many. The architectural plan is to bosom the high-end standards and release an Android 2.1-powered gimmick which would rely on Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM)’s Snapdragon CPU for all of its processing needs. The upcoming device, LG LU2300, volition also come with WVGA AMOLED touchscreen (hopefully capacitive) and a 5-megapixel camera that tin take 720p video at 30 fps.
No word on release appointment, but it seems this baby will launching in South Korean and then eventually be transferred outside of peninsula. First it needs to take on the Samsung M100S and if that goes wellspring, it may appearance the Nexus Ones of the earth why they motivation to buy an LG-made device instead of one made by HTC.
We’re certainly happy to see all those Snapdragon-powered smartphones pop up like mushrooms after the pelting, and are looking forward to see the market forces in action. This should result in lower costs of such devices which is a good thing, gotta admit.
