The HTC HD2 Has Been Forgotten

Here we go again, folks. Just in case we couldn’t rhythm this issuing to death any more, we’ve got another verification from Microsoft that the htc_hd2_ahead_of_iphone_launching.html’ title=’Vodafone dropping HTC HD2 ahead of iPhone launching’>HD2, manufactured by HTC, will definitely not be getting an (official) rise to Windows Phone 7 Series. You’ll probably remember that the 4.3-inch blind, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor do “technically” meet Microsoft’s strict guidelines for their upcoming mobile Operating System, but it’s the buttons on the movement that dash its chances.

The office has been pretty haggard recently. Considering the HTC HD2 is exercise set to launching on T-Mobile River USA in just a matter of weeks, there were all sorts of hopes and dreams that the gimmick would be acquiring an official update from Microsoft when the meter came. And piece it’s obvious that the gimmick would need to be wiped, so that the Sense User Interface already on it would disappear entirely, at least it could rich person been done. But, thanks to Virgin Mary-Jo Foley over at ZDNet, we’ve got a reconfirmation from Microsoft that the HD2 will certainly not be getting upgraded.

The key function to take away from this: “We currently do not rich person plans to update the HTC HD2 to Windows Phone 7 Series.”

While we covered this likeliness before, from different angles, we’re just slightly disappointed that this cover girl firearm of computer hardware is going to be skipped over. While we understand the centering is on the future, and right now the best promise that Windows Mobile 6.5 has in surviving is with the HD2, it’s distillery heartbreaking to think that we won’t see Windows Phone 7 on the HD2. Though, we tin takings some comfort in saying that at least the criterion for Windows Phone 7 Series is 3.5-in screens and 1 GHz Snapdragon processors in one of their three soma designs.
