There’s some good and bad news if you’re that poor son of gripe who lost the next-multiplication iPhone in a bar. The badness news is that you’re Internet famous for all the wrong reasons, your career may be screwed and Steve Jobs will likely demand a hammer of your flesh. On the top, you may score a sweetness, free trip-up to Germany thanks to Lufthansa Airlines.
According to an surface letter from the airline on Twitter:
I recently read in the newsworthiness that you doomed a very special phone at a German beer bar in California … At Lufthansa we also noted with great interest your passion for German beer and culture. We thinking you could use a break soon – and therefore would like to offer you complimentary business course exile to Munich, where you can literally pick up where you shoemaker’s last left off.
Sucks for that dude, but it’s a cute marketing ploy by Lufthansa. Take it, man, I’m guessing you could use the vacation.
