Sprint HTC Hero Update to 2.1 Coming on May 7th

This is just about acquiring ridiculous. Leak, after news leak. And, here’s another one. This time around we’ve got one coming from C. H. Best Buy, of the obvious internal diverseness. It clearly states that a major ROM update is targeted for the HTC Heron, and it even has a appointment. Not that that’s any kind of conclusive evidence, but still. It’s something.
This meter around, Best Buy’s got it on the down-low that the HTC Heron for Sprint is getting their major rise to Android 2.1 on May 7th. That’s only 2 days away. And no, that doesn’t mean that the international version of the HTC Hero is acquiring Android 2.1 on May 7th, either. Actually, it doesn’t clarify at all when the other versions of the Hero, like the Droid Eris on Verizon Wireless, are going to get the upgrade, either. Right now, all we can say is that the Sprint variant seems the more likely of candidates for an “early” rise.
