Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Might Get Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Update

Sony Ericsson just announced that the Xperia X10 will be acquiring an update in Q2 or Q3 of this class. Surprisingly, they ar putt Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) as the upcoming update rather than Android 2.1 or 2.2. Previously Sony Ericsson did mention that they are not planning to update the Xperia X10 beyond Android 2.1 (Eclair).
The troupe will notified the Xperia X10′s owners a little later when they are ready to roll-out the update. But sadly, AT&T’s Xperia X10 might not take function in this. Checkout the changes that volition be made when the updates comes out.
The current plan is that the Xperia X10 will get the Android standard Camera user interface and therefore features like e.g. face identification, smile shutter etc will be lost. Moxier is replaced by the gingerbread indigen EAS functionality. Mediascape is being replaced by the media experience widgets and music actor included in our new 2011 products. DRM keys for protected content on your earphone will be lost in the rise process. The Sony Ericsson Backup and Restore node is not supported in the Gingerbread version and will therefore be lost. Support for bi-directional languages will be reduced compared to the latest version of the 2.1 variant of the Xperia X10.
