Google Will Obtain Motorola Mobility For $12.5 Billion

Google has just announced that they will obtain Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion. Although, Motorola Mobility might soon be part of Google, it will remain as separate business. By the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012, this transaction expected to be closed.

According to Google CEO, Larry Page, Motorola Mobility has given their full commitment to Android which resulted in a natural fit for both companies. With their coexistent they are hoping to be able bring more enchanting drug user experiences.

“Motorola Mobility’s total commitment to Android has created a natural fit for our two companies. Together, we will create amazing user experiences that supercharge the entire Android ecosystem for the benefit of consumers, partners and developers. I look forward to welcoming Motorolans to our family of Googlers.”

While The CEO of Motorola Mobility, Sanjay Jha, said,

“This transaction offers significant value for Motorola Mobility’s stockholders and provides compelling new opportunities for our employees, customers, and partners around the world. We have shared a productive partnership with Google to advance the Android platform, and now through this combination we volition be able to do even more to innovate and deliver outstanding mobility solutions across our mobile devices and home businesses.”

Aside from both companies’s CEO statement, Senior Vice President of Mobile at Google, Andy Rubin, have a say regarding this successful transaction. He stated that they are expecting this coexistent will bring them a new primer coat for Android ecosystem. However, Android volition remain as an open platform and a vibrant open source biotic community. Google will continue their relation with their Android partners in order to create more innovative Android-power device.

“We expect that this combination will enable us to break new ground for the Android ecosystem. However, our vision for Android is unchanged and Google remains firmly committed to Android as an open platform and a vibrant open source community.
