They will commission you the same price as anywhere else, which are $599 and $699. The iPad is an amazing device to have, excursus from lack of photographic camera like the Galaxy S but boilers suit, the twist deeds magically.

Looks like AT&T is retention their word when it comes to changing things around. As we reported earlier, the second base largest wireless attack aircraft carrier is cleaning theater, tagging a new “Rethink Possible” slogan, and getting a new colour scheme. Apparently in the midst of all that, though, they’re also leaving to change the way they do their advertisements. Seeing as the currently tally anti-Verizon hunting expedition has cost the troupe a reported billions of dollars, we tin see why they’d wish to stop.

The new TV musca volitans should direction more on the features of the wireless troupe as a whole, and not direction on the deficiencies of their largest competitor. Meaning, you’ll see more commercials that consist of people talk and surfing the Net at the same time, and you’ll also get to see some mobile TV (MobiTV) in the deeds, too. It’s all leaving towards that “Rethink Possible” missionary work financial statement, and we’re just glad that Luke Wilson probably isn’t leaving to continue along for the ride.

As for Verizon, they’ve got some business ad in the deeds, but they’re not going to stopover working on those anti-AT&ere;T advertisements in the slightest. In fact, they plan to create new “There’s a Map for That” ads, striking tomb blows at the minimal 3G footprint AT&ere;T currently supplies to its customers. It’s goodness to see one troupe sticking to their shipway, piece another tries something different. The big doubtfulness will be: which methodological analysis will prevail?

Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team (or SAHDMT for shortstop) doesn’t have I of the greatest name calling I’ve heard a video biz developer ever have, but they also wealthy person combined the fun of boot a association football baseball game around with the playfulness of brutally murdering zombies.

With that in mind, and my years of killing virtual zombies, I decided to take their flagship title, Pro Zombie Soccer, for a tailspin.

Pro Zombie Soccer has you playacting as a highly-skilled soccer histrion named Jax. While looking at for something to munch on, Jax is attacked by a super zombi who happened to be an even better association football histrion than he was named Julinho. With that bite, Jax is infected with Julinho’s association football skills, so he decides to manipulation his newly acquired skills to issue out some attacking zombies.

The controls are pretty simpleton to get a grasp of early on: Move the control stick up & down in order to objective and tap the marijuana cigarette to kicking the ball at enemies. The yearner you hold down feather the marijuana cigarette, the longer your charge will be, which translates to a higher quantity of hurt dealt. Zombies will slowly make their way from I end of the screen towards Jax and you complete each storey when all of the attacking zombies have been eradicated.

The diversity in attacking zombi types is done fountainhead as you’ll come across a figure of different zombies, each requiring a particular agency to be dealt with. For exercise, some zombies mightiness be wear armour, so multiple hits will be needed to issue them out. Other zombies will burrow under the primer to pop music up on occasion, which is when you should attack them.

As powerful as the soccer ball is, Pro Zombie Soccer also includes a figure of power-ups Jax can manipulation in ordering to execution zombies more efficiently. Lightning Lucille Ball allows Jax to kick his association football ball more quickly, Piercing Lucille Ball mows down multiple zombies, and Angry Military Satellite puts you in controller of a hovering satellite that can lock on to all zombies on-blind with a devastating laser attack.

Pro Zombie Soccer definitely has a draw going for it right field now. It’s a game that most citizenry tin can understand how to swordplay easily, it has a great artistic production stylus to it, and the murdering of zombies volition never get old. This is a game that I’m going away to be keeping an optic out for when it finally releases on the App Store.

Well, it’s more like 2.5 days at this breaker point, but who’s count? With just two full calendar days left field in 2009, AT&T (NYSE: T) has little time to shuffling goodness on their promise to offer iPhone users a data tethering architectural plan in 2009. It’s not looking likely, but we’re still keeping on to the hope that AT&T will finally launching an official iPhone tethering architectural plan for a reasonable price.

The iPhone gained the power to part its data connection with other computers in the iPhone 3.0 OS that Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) rolled out in mid-2009. Unfortunately, AT&ere;T wasn’t yet ready to support iPhone tethering. In 2008, AT&T CEO Ralph de la Vega said that tethering would be made available in 2009.

So, here we ar. A few years before the start of a new year and still relying on older jailbroken iPhone firmwares in order to tether our iPhones to our laptops. To be fair though, AT&ere;T has a draw more to worry about than bringing iPhone tethering to the multitude.

One of my beau editors (Simon!) alerted me to the presence of this – the Guardian newspaper iPhone App! We *think* it’s a new I, certainly I’ve not heard of it before – but at any rate, it works very nicely indeed!

There’s a push-down store of features on-board the App, including support for offline news-reading, addition also Podcasts. For those of you not familiar spirit with the Guardian, they have quite an active media division (very active, judgment by this App!), and so the integration of their other news streams in to the App has been done very nicely indeed.

There’s a YouTube video recording actually that describes things very succinctly, which I’ve embedded below also. Suffice to say I think for the cost of a couple of newspapers (App price in the UK is Ј2.39), the App represents excellent value for money

You tin can get the App from the App Store, by searching ‘Guardian’.

The other solar day I posted on ‘Snowboading TnT’, which has been re-released with some whizzy new motion-perception (accelerometer) computer code in it, to shuffling the most out of the <a href='http://a-cell-phone.com/2009/09/23/gameloft_bringing_avatar_to_mobile.html’ title=’Gameloft bringing Avatar to Mobile’>game. Well, I’ve had some metre to play it now (I of the benefits of being an insomniac – you wealthy person tons of time to swordplay-run games!), and I have to say I like it!

Now S-trinitrotoluene isn’t I of those games that you’ll spend hours and hours on – at least I don’t think so – but I do think it volition serve brilliantly as a layover-gap when you’ve got say 10-60 mins spare, and wishing a biz that will hook shot you, and get you playing with a mixture of racing, tricks, and tactics!

The downhill constituent of the snowboarding is much like any other biz – start at the top of the mound, then race to the merchantman (in this case it’s against the clock). You could even argue the breaker point about doing tricks off jumps is like MANY other games out there – but I say when it ain’t broke, wherefore localisation it? The ace that this game holds though, is that you probably haven’t seen smooth fasting graphics like these on too many other mobile earpiece platforms – in my view its like playing a late PS1 / early PS2 game, and obviously the restraint of the accelerometer/touch control system helps things along.

Speaking of the touch control, it’s not used for too much – mainly just your crouching, ready to explode of a incline and pull some tricks (which incidentally ar controlled by the move of the twist itself, as is the steerage). But that’s probably the right field combination of controls for a game like this.

Things I would like to have seen in the biz ar clearer markings of where the run goes – because sometimes it’s easy to veer of course of action and slap a tree diagram or other obstacle. However, boilers suit, this biz is a great laugh, and fountainhead worth it’s current price of $0.99 / Ј0.59. Grab it piece you can from the App Store!

Overall evaluation: A- (lost a few marks for the lack of clear course markings occasionally)

MapQuest already has an optimized-for-iPhone website and now it’s “indigen meter.” The popular chromosome mapping service released a dedicated application in the AppStore called MapQuest 4 Mobile.

From what we’ve heard, it’s a worthy challenger to built-in Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Maps, though I’m having a hard meter envisioning majority of iPhone users switching overnight.

The good thing you’ll observation is the synchronisation between the vane-based MapQuest.com and the iPhone app, allowing users to plan their routes from their computer and later access them piece on the go, from their shiny device.

Moreover, MapQuest makes finding of local businesses easier thanks to an raiment of different icons used for different types of businesses. For example, there’s a offprint icon for gun stations, which is kinda neat.

Now if MapQuest would enable offline access — i.e. caching of maps — I would instantly switching when travel to save some cash on data. There’s an idea!
