Mobango has been busy compiling its stats, and has concluded that in 2009, it passed 100m visits to its mobile site worldwide. Apparently over 60 per cent of all users coming to Mobango connected through Nokia (NYSE: NOK) phones. Out of the circus tent 10 phones used to connect to Mobango, octad were Nokia phones. SonyEricsson and Samsung took a joint second base spot with 12 per cent each. Motorola (NYSE: MOT test) and LG devices were also popular.

Beceem and Motorola coupling WiMAX and LTE on one chipping

Beceem Communications, the leading provider of 4G chips, and Motorola announced today that both companies are working together to pair Motorola’s advanced 4G WiMAX infrastructure with Beceem’s upcoming BCS500 4G chipping.

The BCS500 4G chipping supports WiMAX 16e and 16m as well as UE Class 4 LTE capabilities in both the TDD and FDD configurations, including plans for handoff between WiMAX and LTE. The optimization of TDD and FDD coexistence for LTE is important for many operators
