CDMA2000 Mobile River Broadband Growth Highlights 2009 as Defining Year for 3G

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) today announced third quarter contributor statistics for CDMA2000(R), highlight the migration from 2G to 3G CDMA services in emerging and developed markets. In summation to 18 new CDMA2000 networks in 2009, rapidly-development markets, such as Communist China and India, have pushed the subscriber base for CDMA2000 to over half a billion citizenry; more than a quarter of those ar EV-DO mobile broadband users.
